BlazeFlux Zenthor Architects is a leading Contemporary Sustainable Architecture & Urban Design firm based in Toronto, Canada. We specialize in creating innovative, environmentally responsible designs that shape the future of our cities.

Since our founding, we have been committed to pushing the boundaries of sustainable architecture while maintaining the highest standards of design excellence. 2008

Foundation

BlazeFlux Zenthor Architects was founded in Toronto with a vision to revolutionize sustainable architecture in Canada. Started with a small team of five passionate architects dedicated to green building principles.

2011

First Major Award

Received the Ontario Association of Architects Award for Sustainable Design Excellence for our innovative residential project that achieved net-zero energy consumption.

2014

Expansion & Growth

Expanded operations with our new office space on King Street West. Team grew to 20+ professionals, allowing us to take on larger commercial and urban planning projects.

2017

International Recognition

Featured in Architectural Digest as one of "Top 50 Sustainable Architecture Firms" in North America. Completed our first LEED Platinum certified commercial building.

2020

Urban Innovation

Launched our Urban Planning & Development division, focusing on creating sustainable, livable communities for the future.

2023

Present Day

Now a team of 35+ architects, designers, and urban planners, we continue to lead the way in sustainable architecture with over 250 completed projects and numerous industry awards.

Sarah Zenthor

Principal Architect & Founding Partner

Sarah is a visionary architect with over 20 years of experience in sustainable design. She leads our firm's strategic direction and oversees major commercial projects. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards including the Governor General's Medal in Architecture.

Michael Blaze

Design Director & Co-Founder

M.Arch, OAA, AIA, Urban Design Specialist

Michael brings a unique perspective combining architecture and urban planning. He has spearheaded our most innovative residential projects and leads our urban development initiatives. His designs have been featured in Architectural Review and Azure Magazine.

Dr. Emily Chen

Director of Sustainability

Ph.D. Environmental Design, LEED Fellow, CaGBC Board Member

Dr. Chen is internationally recognized for her research in sustainable building systems. She ensures all our projects meet the highest environmental standards and leads our sustainability consulting services. She has published over 30 papers on green architecture.
